Parents can create an optional Reflex parent account to monitor their student's progress throughout the summer by following the directions found here. Students may log into Reflex by clicking here. (We recommend you bookmark this page for easy daily practice!) Step 1: Enter username: acadmath Step 2: Choose the correct rising grade level group. Step 3: Choose the correct student name. Step 4: Choose Reflex Step 5: Enter password: acad Additional Options for Math Practice Students who want to spend additional time working with grade-level content, who have advanced beyond Reflex, or who are looking for a screen-free option are invited to work through the IXL Ultimate 1st Grade Math Workbook. It is expected that all students choosing this option will complete all odd-numbered pages. Then, students can work on the even-numbered pages for additional practice. Summer Reading
To encourage continued growth in reading skills through the summer, we compiled the following list of titles to assist children and parents in the selection of books. Students are responsible for reading the one required book before school convenes in August. Beyond that, it is not necessary to limit your choices to the suggested titles. There are many excellent books available through your local library. We recommend your child read 20 minutes a day all summer. Don't forget, audiobooks and e-books are reading options too!
